The Cabinet has approved the establishment of the ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund, a statutory initiative under the Presidential Secretariat designed to support national recovery following the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah, one of the worst natural disasters in recent history.
Fund Governance
The Fund will be managed by a high-level Management Committee comprising leaders from both government and the private sector.

The Committee will oversee needs assessments, resource allocation, and fund disbursement, while ensuring full transparency and accountability through strict financial management and auditing.
