The Indian Army Field Hospital team has officially concluded its humanitarian mission in Sri Lanka, returning home after delivering lifesaving medical care to communities devastated by Cyclone Ditwah.
Deployed at a critical time, the team’s swift response brought hope, relief, and compassion to thousands of affected families. Their field operations provided emergency treatment, surgical interventions, and essential medical support in regions where local facilities had been overwhelmed by the disaster.
Sri Lanka’s Minister of Health, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, expressed heartfelt gratitude for India’s solidarity during the crisis. “Your healing hands brought hope, relief, and compassion to our people. We remain forever grateful for your dedicated service in our time of need,” he said.
The mission stands as a testament to the enduring friendship between Sri Lanka and India, highlighting the importance of regional cooperation in disaster response.
