Pulmottai, Trincomalee | October 13, 2025 — A group of 83 employees from the Sri Lanka Mineral Sand Cooperative stationed at the Pulmottai facility have submitted a formal complaint regarding a 15-month delay in salary payments, citing severe financial hardship.

The workers claim that despite fulfilling their duties consistently, they have not received wages since mid-2024. The prolonged delay has deeply affected their families, especially in managing daily expenses, children’s education, and basic living costs.
